State Bank of India's (SBI) Guwahati Circle Extends a Helping Hand by Donating Vehicles and Medical Equipment in the City

The State Bank of India (SBI), Guwahati Circle, reaffirmed its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) through a significant event at its local head office in Guwahati. This event marked the donation of vehicles and medical equipment to five prominent institutions dedicated to social welfare in the Northeast.

The five institutions benefiting from these donations are:

Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati, received support amounting to Rs 28.16 lakh for the establishment of a palliative care center. Sankaradeva Nethralaya, Guwahati, was provided with medical equipment valued at Rs 35.00 lakh. Uttar Purbanchal Janajati Seva Samity, Haflong, Assam, received a vehicle worth Rs 19.36 lakh. Assam Don Bosco University, Sonapur, Assam, was granted a vehicle worth Rs 36.05 lakh. Snehalaya (a Centre for Child Rights), Guwahati, benefited from a vehicle worth Rs 26.16 lakh. The total amount of donations to these charitable organizations amounted to a commendable Rs 1.45 crore. The event saw the presence of esteemed officials, including Chief General Manager Vincent M.D., General Managers Lunkim Thangboi and Dhruba Charan Bal, along with various other dignitaries. SBI's generous contributions exemplify its dedication to making a positive impression on society through its CSR initiatives.
