The 2nd day of the historical Jonbeel Mela was held on the banks of Jonbeel n Morigaon district today.The main programme of the exchange system was inaugurated by the Chairman of Assam Plain Tribal Development Corporation and Morigaon Constituency MLA Ramakanta Deuri There are many different types of crops such as potatoes, spinach, ginger, garlic, coriander, etc which were exchanged with the Rice cake,laroo and several food items of people of the plains The 19 Tiwa kings were officially distributed checks of Rs 1 lakh 25 thousand each as Assam government Rajbhatta by the Chief Executive Member of the Tiwa Autonomous Council Jeevan Kowar, Morigaon MLA Ramakanta Deuri and
Tiwa dance guru and this year's Assam Sourav Awardee Nadiram Deuri etc .in the open meeting. Rama Kanta Deori ,Chairman Assam Plain Tribal Development Council formally handed over the cheque of Rs 1 lakh 25 thousand as Rajbhatta to each Tiwa Raja of Central Assam in Jonbeel Mela's open Rajdarbar.
