Guwahati Mourns the Loss of Renowned Citizen and Editor Ramen Chakraborty

Ramen Chakraborty, a distinguished citizen of Guwahati city breathed his last night at a private hospital. Ramen Chakraborty, editor of "Ishan-Darpan" newspaper and "Haritage Explore" till his last breath A lifelong true servant of the 'Rashtriya Swayamsevak S' was fighting his last battle in a hospital at the age of 77, in Guwahati after an accident for 11 days today.

Ramen Chakraborty was one of the pillars of the establishment of Shankar Netralaya in Beltola and Nemcare Hospital in Bhavnagar, Guwahati, for Assam and Assamese. Ramen Chakraborty's departure will always be considered an irreparable loss to Assam and the Assamese. Chakraborty”s demise cast a pall of gloom in intellectual circles of Assam. Ramen Chakraborty was not only the founder of the skills development educational organization of Govt. of Assam "ITI" Nalbari, Diphu, Jorhat, and Birubari of Guwahati, but he also served as a visionary principal of these institutions.
