Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Information Technology etc. Keshav Mohanta today participated in the " Vikashit Bharat Sankalp Yatra" program of Morigaon Municipal Board The minister said this while addressing a meeting at Bihutali in Morigaon town on the occasion.The minister said the program is aimed at bringing the schemes undertaken by the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the state government led by Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma to the people The minister said the government has taken this program to ensure that they are not deprived and to completely eliminate interference of middlemen in government schemes.He said the development of the people is the development of the country He said the death of a person in a road accident means the loss of a human resource not only to the family but also to the society. He said it is a collective responsibility to ensure road safety. Referring to schemes like Jal Jeevan Abhiyan, Arunodoi Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana etc., he said health insurance facility of up to Rs 5 lakh per annum is provided under Ayushman Card. He urged those who are eligible to take advantage of it. The meeting was attended by Morigaon MLA and Chairman of Upland Tribal Development Corporation Ramakant Deuri. He said that the state and central governments have taken many schemes for the welfare of the poor people. He said the schemes undertaken by the government to improve the lives of the people have benefited people from all walks of life.
The event was welcomed by District Commissioner Devashish Sharma and Chief Executive Member of Tiwa Autonomous Council Jeevan Chandra Konwar also addressed the function. The meeting was attended by several beneficiaries of various schemes. As part of the meeting, the Department of Agriculture organized a demonstration of nano urea using drone technology. There are also cultural programs organized. The meeting was attended by District Tuberculosis Cell distributed nutritious food packages to two tuberculosis patients on behalf of Baghara State Hospital Public Health Committee as Nikshay Mitra as part of Prime Minister's Tuberculosis Free Mission. JRN Pharma LLP, which has taken care of 100 tuberculosis patients so far, was also felicitated.
