No one of us knows him now, when we were studying at LP School, we heard a lot of comentary in the game of foot ball on the radio, do we all remember! Who had not heard the then Independence Cup, the Bordoloi Trophy, what a beautiful commentary, we seemed to be watching the game, although we did not have the good fortune of going and watching the game with someone at that time during 1971 - 1984 then among the names often heard in AII India Radio comentry were Gilbartson Changma, Momin Bordoloi and some footballers of Assam Police . Now he is none other than Momin Bordoloi ,once upon a time a dreaded striker of Assam police soccer team is undergoing treatment of serious illness at Morigaon Civil Hospital..It is very pathetic that despite having many government and non government sportsmen welfare organisations (comsisting with non sportsmen politicians) the veteran footballer like Momin Bordoloi groaning under serious ailments due to his poor financial status.Will the big guns in sports administration of the state look into this?
