The "Krishak Mela-2023," a prominent two-day agricultural fair, commenced today under the joint organization of the Morigaon District Agriculture Department and the Agricultural Technology Management Authority (ATMA). The fair was graced with its inauguration by the Honorable District Commissioner of Morigaon, Devashish Sharma. Post-inauguration, he took the time to visit each stall, engaging with the exhibitors and extending his best wishes.
This event serves as a significant congregation for the district's farming community, offering them a platform to showcase their products and innovations. The fair's proceedings were overseen by Junior Agriculture Officer Divya Jyoti Hazarika, with the Additional District Commissioner of Morigaon, Pranjal Barua, also in attendance.
The program saw efficient coordination under the guidance of District Agriculture Officer Ashok Kumar Sharma and benefited from the active participation of members from the Agricultural Producer Companies and local farmers.
Distinguished guests included SAMETI Director Rabijit Dutta Chowdhury, Assistant Director Rajiv Bhuyan, Assistant Directors of Agriculture in Morigaon Dr. Munin Sharma, Tapan Kumar Brahma, and Surya Kumar Amsi. Heads of various departments such as the Silk Department, Fisheries Department, and officials from the District Agriculture Officer's Office were also present, contributing to the event's collaborative spirit.
