In Assam, a big festival called Raax Mohotsav, similar to the celebrations in Brindabon, took place on Raax Purnima day. People all over Assam joined in, showing their devotion to Lord Krishna. Different areas in Assam celebrated in their own way. Upper Assam acted out stories of Lord Krishna and the Braja Gopis, while Lower Assam used clay idols to show Lord Krishna's life.

In Majuli, known as Xatra Nagari, there was lots of chanting for Lord Krishna. Many tourists, both from India and other countries, came to see it. Over 60 pandals had festivities, and dramas based on Lord Krishna's life were performed in the Xatras.

Uttar Kamalabari Satra, with a 350-year tradition, started a three-day Raax Festival. They raised 350 flags to mark their 350th year. A play called ‘Keligopal’ was shown, telling about Lord Krishna's early life.

Janardan Dev Goswami from Uttar Kamalabari Xatra mentioned they've been doing this festival since the beginning and it's the 350th year now. Other Xatras in Majuli, like Auniati Satra and Bengenati Satra, also celebrated the Srikrishna Raax.

Nalbari in Lower Assam began its 90th Raax Mohotsav with a 13-day event at Hari Mandir, focusing on Lord Krishna's stories through clay idols. The festival was inaugurated by Shankaracharya Swami Sri Adhokshjanand Dev Tirth Ji Maharaj and Nitish Bharadwaj, famous for playing Lord Krishna in the serial ‘Mahabharat’.

Barpeta's Howli also started its 96th Raax Mohotsav. The event began with flag hoisting and continued for 15 days. Other places like Palasbari, Mirza, and Nagarbera in Kamrup district also celebrated Raax Mohotsav, showing how widely and diversely this festival is celebrated in Assam.
