Union Earth Sciences Minister Kiren Rijiju today attended the "Developed India Resolution Yatra" program at Kapahera Stadium of Bhakatgaon Gaon Panchayat in Dalanghat Development Block of Morigaon district. Speaking at a meeting at Kapahera Stadium on the occasion, the minister said the Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to the welfare of the poor and needy people as well as all sections of the society He said the government has given utmost importance to women empowerment and as a result, "Namo Drone" will introduce major changes in the agricultural sector within the next five to six months Under the Didi scheme, women in self-help groups will be trained to use drones in the fields. He said he has an emotional connection with Assam and feels like his own home. He said they identified themselves as Assamese before Arunachal Pradesh got separate state status. The meeting was attended by State BJP President and Rangia MLA Bhabesh Kalita who highlighted various schemes of the government like Jal Jeevan Abhiyan, Arunodoi, Ujala, Ayushman Bharat, PM Kisan, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana etc He said the Modi government's development-oriented journey has strengthened and ensured comprehensive development. He said the success of these schemes will depend on ensuring that no eligible person is deprived of government schemes. He urged the people to take advantage of government schemes. The meeting was attended by Morigaon MLA and Chairman of Assam Plains Tribal Development Corporation Ramakanta Deuri. He said the central and state governments are committed to the welfare of the people. He urged the eligible beneficiaries to take advantage of various government schemes at the meeting. He also urged the people to inform the concerned departmental officers and employees if they do not know about any scheme.
The meeting was attended by District Commissioner Devashish Sharma who welcomed the participants and said that the program is aimed at creating awareness among the people about the flagship schemes of the government. He said that if a person is eligible but has not received the benefits of government schemes, he can get the benefits of various schemes during this programme. The meeting was attended by several beneficiaries of various schemes. As part of the meeting, the Department of Agriculture organized a demonstration of nano urea using drone technology. The event was attended by Tiwa Autonomous Council Chief Executive Member Jeevan Chandra Konwar, Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Laxminanda Chaharia, District Development Commissioner Devayani Chowdhury, Superintendent of Police Hemanta Kumar Das, social workers Ashok Kumar Bhattarai and Praveen Medhi The beneficiaries of the scheme were present.
