Maneka Gandhi has raised the alarm over Elvish Yadav, asserting that his NGO has been monitoring the influencer due to his use of snakes in his online content. YouTuber Elvish Yadav, who found himself in legal trouble after Noida Police accused him of utilizing snake venom at underground parties, has publicly refuted the allegations and pledged his full cooperation with the authorities in Uttar Pradesh. In response, BJP legislator Maneka Gandhi, whose organization initiated the complaint, questioned Yadav's innocence by highlighting his absence, “If he’s not culpable, why has he disappeared?" she questioned. She stressed the severity of the offense, noting, "Extracting venom from king cobras, which need it for survival, could lead to their death, making this a grave wildlife crime punishable by up to seven years in prison. Owning, capturing, or exploiting these reptiles is illegal and she hinted at a larger conspiracy at play.
Maneka Gandhi called for Yadav's prompt capture, revealing that her NGO had been observing him due to the presence of serpents in his video productions, which led to discoveries of potential venom trafficking. Challenging Yadav’s claims of innocence, she implied his flight suggested guilt, and commented on the tendency of individuals to court controversy for fame. Moreover, Gandhi pointed out the health hazards of snake venom, including organ failure and neurological effects that induce dizziness.
