In Guwahati, Dr. Jayanta Kumar Goswami, who is in charge of the Panchayats and Rural Development (P&RD) Department, had a video conference with Zonal Development Officers from different districts. They talked about the department's work and focused on the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme, which is a big part of their department.
During the meeting, they looked at how the NREGA scheme is doing and talked about things like using the Area Officer App, linking Aadhaar numbers, completing work, making sure payments are done on time, and the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), which is about housing in rural areas. Dr. Goswami told the officers to speed up the work and finish these projects quickly and within the set time.
Other important people at the meeting were Bipanchi Dutta, the Joint Commissioner of the Panchayats and Rural Development Department, Assistant Development Officer Vivekananda Sonowal, and other officers from the department.
