The toilet was officially inaugurated by Morigaon District Commissioner Devashish Sharma .The toilet was constructed at a cost of Rs 33 lakh and has separate arrangements for men, women and people with disabilities. In his speech at the inauguration ceremony, the Morigaon District Commissioner thanked Dalmia Bharat Foundation for this great work on behalf of the district administration. Referring to the popular Bollywood film 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha', he said it was the responsibility of everyone to keep these public toilets as good as their own resources. He said this is only the beginning and urged Dalmia to cooperate in installing such toilets in Jagiroad as well as other parts of the district in the future. He also hoped that the Morigaon municipality would take good care of this public resource. Dalmia Cement Regional Head of Construction Branch Padmanabh Chakraborty and Dalmia Jagiroad Group Head Rajesh Kumar Srivastava said Dalmia is always committed to sustainable development for all. They hoped that the public toilet would help the people who come to the area for various purposes. Additional District Commissioners Dyotibha Bora and Dr. Sangita Barthakur, Executive Engineer, Public Works (Roads) Department Istiaq Ahmed and a number of dignitaries were present at the meeting.
