Chief Secretary of Assam Government Pavan Kumar Barthakur today attended the "Vikashit  Bharat Sankalpa Yatra"(VBSY) program held at Shalmari Gaon Panchayat of Bhurbandha Development  Block of Morigaon district The Chief Secretary  urged the people to take advantage of the benefits of government schemes and to inform the concerned departmental officers and employees if they are not well aware of any scheme He also inspected the shops opened by the  Supply department and directed the head officers of the department to ensure that the eligible beneficiaries are not deprived of any government scheme and also emphasized on proper publicity of the schemes so that the people benefit from each scheme The program is aimed at creating awareness among the people about the flagship schemes of the government. He said that if a person is eligible but has not received the benefits of government schemes, he can get the benefits of various schemes during this programme.

The meeting  held on the occasion was attended by several beneficiaries of various schemes and several beneficiaries were awarded letters of approval and certificates under various government schemes. As part of the meeting, the Department of Agriculture organized a demonstration of nano urea using drone technology. There are also cultural programs organized. District Development Commissioner Devayani Chowdhury, Superintendent of Police Hemanta Kumar Das, Additional District Commissioners Dyutiva Bora and Biman Das, Shalmari Panchayat President Aminul Haque, Tiwa Autonomous Council Shalmari constituency member Nayanmoni Deuri, district administration officers, heads of various departments and Bhurbandha development  block officers , beneficiaries of various schemes, Panchayat office bearers and beneficiaries of various schemes were present.
