District Administration Conducts Eviction Operation at Unlicensed Brick Kiln in Morigaon

The district administration today conducted an eviction operation at an unlicensed brick kiln in Shagunbahi of Moirabari district of Morigaon district. District Commissioner Devashish Sharma was present at the brick kiln himself during the raid. The brick kiln was closed yesterday after a tractor hit a seven-year-old girl on November 27 and the district administration did not receive any valid documents. The illegal brick quarry was evicted by the administration today.

District Commissioner Devashish Sharma today stood by the family who lost their 7-year-old daughter and offered his deepest condolences. The District Commissioner expressed his sorrow over the tragedy and said the district administration is with the bereaved family at this time of grief. He said the district administration would take immediate action against any other illegal brick quarries in Morigaon district. He said the documents of all the bricklayers in the district would be checked soon. He warned that such inhuman acts by some people on the lives of poor people would not be compromised under any circumstances. He said action would be taken soon if any government party compromises in this regard.
