In a significant development, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has unveiled the much-awaited JEE Mains 2024 syllabus today, November 2, bringing with it a wave of changes aimed at aligning the curriculum more closely with the NCERT syllabus for Classes 11 and 12. Key Highlights of the Revised JEE Mains 2024 Syllabus:

1. Reduction in Syllabus: The JEE Mains 2024 syllabus has seen a considerable reduction, particularly in the Chemistry section, making it more manageable for students to cover the material and focus on their preparation.

2. Chapters Removed:

   • Physics: Communication Systems and selected topics from Experimental Skills
   • Chemistry: States of Matter, Surface Chemistry, s-Block Elements, Hydrogen, Environmental Chemistry, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Metals, Thomson and Rutherford's atomic models, and precision and accuracy in measurements
   • Mathematics: Mathematical Reasoning, Mathematical Inductions, and selected topics from Three Dimensional Geometry

3. Consultations and Deliberations: NTA Director General Subodh Kumar Singh highlighted the extensive consultations conducted with various boards and the expert committee's role in meticulously preparing the updated syllabus.

4. Information Bulletin and Registration Dates: The revised syllabus will be accompanied by an information bulletin, set to be released next week, which will also include the registration dates for the examination.

5. Guidance for Students: With the syllabus reduction, students are encouraged to intensify their focus on the remaining topics and leverage previous years’ question papers to familiarize themselves with the exam pattern and level of difficulty.

6. Important Dates: The deadline for submitting the JEE Mains application form for 2024 is on November 30, 2023. The first session of the exam is scheduled from January 24 to February 1, 2024, while the April session will take place from April 1 to April 15, 2024.
