Guwahati Celebrates Lachit Borphukan's 401st Birth Anniversary at Kachomari Ghat

In Guwahati, the 401st birth anniversary of Lachit Borphukan, a historical figure, was celebrated near his statue at Kachomari Ghat in Fancy Bazar. The event started with lighting lamps and paying respects to Lachit Borphukan's statue. Important people like Lok Sabha MP Queen Oja, Guwahati Mayor Mrigen Sarania, and District Commissioner Pallab Gopal Jha were there.

MP Queen Oja talked about how the Assam Government is making people know more about Lachit Borphukan. The Guwahati Mayor spoke about Lachit Borphukan's bravery. The District Commissioner encouraged students and researchers to learn about Lachit Borphukan's war strategies and leadership. Manjurani Burman, a school principal, was a speaker at the event. She discussed Lachit Borphukan's tactics in warfare.

There was also a drawing competition for school children, and winners got prizes. Many people from the corporation and district administration attended the event, and Additional District Commissioner Dhrubajyoti Hazarika gave the vote of thanks. This celebration was to remember and honor Lachit Borphukan.
