Today, at the office of the All Morigaon District Students Union and Morigaon Sadar Students Union, a programme was organized at the initiative of Morigaon Sadar Students' Union to remember Asam Kesari Ambikagiri Roychowdhury on his birth anniversary. President of the Morigaon District Students' Union Dibyajyoti Choudhury, Morigaon Sadar Students' Union President Ghanendra Bora and members of more than one hundred students' unions were present on the occasion. At the outset of the thoughtful and solemn event, Rupjyoti Medhi, organizing secretary of All Assam Students' Union paid homage to Asam Kesari Ambikagiri Roychowdhury on his birth anniversary by lighting a lamp and laying wreaths at the portrait of Raychaudhuri In his speech he said that Asam Kesari Ambikagiri RoyChoudhury's contribution to Assam and Assamese nationality must be remembered by the young generation of Assam. Medhi further said that Ambikagiri Roychowdhury fought bravely during the British rule when the existence of Addam and Assamese people were thretened due to the large scale infiltration from East Pakistan at the behest of the British government.
