National Press Day was commemorated with enthusiasm at the Morigaon Pabitorahat auditorium, organized by the Morigaon district administration and Morigaon district journalists association. The event featured enlightening lectures on artificial intelligence and journalism by District Commissioner Devashish Sharma and Manash Pratim Sarma, Head of Regional News Unit, All India Radio Guwahati. The occasion also saw the felicitation of senior journalists Mahendra Nath Hazarika and Kalpataru Choudhury. Additionally, another program at Jagiroad College, organized by the Asomiya Natun Sangbad group of newspapers, highlighted the significance of National Press Day. Sankardev University's Vice Chancellor, Dr. Mridul Kumar Hazarika, and Jagirod College's Principal, Dr. Bhaben Neog, were among the dignitaries in attendance, and 14 journalists were honored for their contributions to journalism during the event.
