In Guwahati, Dispur MLA Atul Bora started the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra from Khetri Gaon Panchayat in Sonapur. This event also had ADC Pinki Dutta and local panchayat members. The main goal of this yatra is to find people who should get government scheme benefits but aren't yet. They want to include these people in the schemes, make more people aware of these schemes, and hear from those who are already benefiting.
Atul Bora talked about the five key goals of the Yatra. People who have benefited from government schemes shared their experiences. The event also focused on health, giving a certificate to someone who recovered from TB and food packages to a TB patient, as part of the TB-free India campaign.
The Yatra's mobile van was first opened in Sonapur Panchayat by Dorothy Suchiang, the CEO of the Zila Parishad. This Yatra will go through 21 Gaon Panchayats in Dimoria, Chandrapur, and Rani areas of Kamrup (M) District and later in Guwahati Municipal Corporation areas. This is done to reach out to more people with government schemes.
