Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the participants and beneficiaries of the " Vikashit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra" (VBSY)programme at Dighalbari Gaon Panchayat in Bhurbandha Development Block of Morigaon district today. The exchange of views is broadcast live. The programme was attended by Chief Executive Member of Tiwa Autonomous Council Jeevan Chandra Konwar. He said the government has taken many schemes for the welfare of all sections of the society. He said the success of such schemes depends on ensuring that every deserving person in the society benefits from them. The meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officer of the Morigaon Zila Parishad Laxminandan Chaharia who said that the Vikashit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program was conducted to create awareness among the people about the flagship schemes of the government. He said that if a person is eligible but has not received the benefits of government schemes, he can get the benefits of various schemes during this programme.
Deputy Commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Central Observer of VBSY in Morigaon district Bhramar Jyoti Brahma highlighted various flagship schemes of the government and said that many schemes are not aware of the people due to lack of proper publicity. He also said that there is huge potentiality in fish farming in Morigaon district and urged to work extensively in this direction. The meeting was attended by several beneficiaries of various schemes and several beneficiaries were awarded letters of approval and certificates under various government schemes. As part of the meeting, the Department of Agriculture organized a demonstration of nano urea using drone technology. There are also cultural programs in the function. The meeting read out the resolutions of a developed India. Morigaon District Commissioner Devashish Sharma, Superintendent of Police Hemanta Kumar Das, Development Commissioner Devayani Chowdhury, Additional District Commissioners, Heads of various departments, beneficiaries of various schemes, Panchayat office bearers, were present in the function.
