In Guwahati, a sad event happened in Kokrajhar district. People thought a woman, Marshila Murmu, was a witch and she was killed. This happened in a place called Bhogjhara Samarpur Village, which is in Gossaigaon area of Kokrajhar District in Assam.
On Monday, everyone learned about this. The people living nearby caught Lakhan Tudu. He lives in Phulkumari Village, close to where the event happened. They thought he was part of the woman’s death.
Then, Lakhan Tudu was given to the police. The police said that he agreed he killed Murmu when he had drunk too much. In September, something similar happened. An old woman was hurt badly and died in Goalpara district. People thought she was a witch too. This news was given by IANS.
