Assam Police and CRPF Seize Explosives in Cachar, Arrest One Person

In Silchar, a major operation by the Assam Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has led to a significant discovery. Near the border between Assam and Meghalaya, in the Cachar district, a large amount of explosives was found. This operation took place on Monday, and it was a combined effort of Assam Police and the 147th Battalion of the CRPF. The location of this important operation was in the Kalain area of the Cachar district.

The Superintendent of Police in the Cachar district, Numal Mahatta, shared details about this successful operation. The team, he said, managed to seize a total of 97 detonators and 96 fuses. These were found in the possession of a person named Nazim Uddin. Nazim Uddin lives in the Sundaura village, which is also in the Cachar district. Following this discovery, the police arrested Uddin and are currently interrogating him to find out more information.

The police are very interested in understanding where these explosives were coming from and where they were supposed to go. This is a significant amount of explosives, and the police want to know more about the whole situation. Superintendent Mahatta emphasized that the investigation is still ongoing and they are trying to gather as much information as possible. The authorities are determined to get to the bottom of this and find out all the details related to this case.
