Khelo India Under-13 Women's Youth Football League kicks off in Morigaon

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) and Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Assam Football Association (AFA) organized the Under-13 Girls Youth League football tournament at Kshirode Barua Stadium, Morigaon today. The league was inaugurated by Morigaon District Commissioner Devashish Sharma. In his inaugural speech, District Commissioner Sharma said that such tournaments will help in bringing out the emerging footballers scattered across the country. The inaugural ceremony was chaired by former District Sports Association Secretary Manas Pratim Patar. Senior Technical Officer of Sports Authority of India Tankeshwari Basumatari, Assam Football Association Vice President Jitu Bardoloi, District Sports Association Vice President Ramen Nath, Joint Secretary Nasiruddin Ahmed and Assistant Secretary Samudra Narayan Medhi Morigaon district The event was attended by Jitumoni Nath, Secretary, Journalists Association, Apurba Bardoloi, Football Secretary, Muktar Hussain, Badminton Secretary, Ibadul Ali, Athletics Secretary, Manik Nath, General Secretary, Morigaon District Committee of Krida Bharati and several other officials. A total of six women's teams under the age of 13 are participating in the tournament. The teams participating in the tournament are Morigaon Rinchang Sports Academy, Mikirbheta Sports Academy, Kushtali Sports Academy, Bhalukaguri Sports Academy, Bangfor Sports Academy and Jaluguti Sports Academy.
