Assam Government Announces 4% Dearness Allowance Hike as Diwali Gift to State Employees

A Festive Gesture for State Employees Chief Minister Sarma shared the news as a "Deepawali gift" on social media, marking the government's dedication to its workforce's financial well-being. He stated, "As a Deepawali gift, the state cabinet has approved a 4% dearness allowance (DA) for our state government employees. With this increase, the total DA for state government employees in Assam now stands at 46%."

In Line with Other States Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also followed suit by announcing a DA hike for state employees in his jurisdiction. Alongside the DA increase, CM Adityanath declared that all state employees would receive a bonus equal to 30 days' salary, with a maximum limit of Rs 7,000.
