National Cleaners Commission Chairman M Venkatesan today visited Morigaon municipality and various departments and public sector institutions in Morigaon district. The commission chairman held a meeting with the Morigaon municipality, heads of concerned departments and cleaners at the conference room of the Morigaon District Commissioner's office. In the meeting, Venkatesan discussed with the Morigaon Municipal Board members and the health department to ensure the minimum wage fixed by the government for cleaners. He also took stock of the grievances of the regular, contractual and part-time employees working under various departments. The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Devayani Chowdhury, Superintendent of Police Hemanta Kumar Das, Additional District Commissioner Dyotibha Bora, Morigaon Municipality Chairman Yogesh Tamuli, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Sadar) Hriday Kumar Das, Morigaon District Joint Director of Health Services Dr. Phani Pathak Heads of various departments and cleaners.
