Guwahati: The BJP in Assam is busy preparing for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. They are organizing big public rallies and meetings to strengthen the party. Many leaders from other political parties are joining BJP. The party is holding these events in various places, including BTR and Upper Assam.
Rupam Goswami, the spokesperson for State BJP, shared that several ministers have been attending these events. Ministers like Ashok Singhal, Jayanta Mallabaruah, Pijush Hazarika, Ranjit Das, Ajanta Neog, and Dr. Ranoj Pegu have participated in meetings and rallies in different areas.
Goswami mentioned that people are showing more and more interest in these meetings, which is making the party workers very excited. He said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the country has seen a lot of development. He also praised Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his work, which is drawing attention across the state. Goswami believes that all this will help BJP get more votes in the upcoming elections.
He also noted that BJP is working hard at the local level in 40 council constituencies of BTAD. They have appointed 40 people in charge of each constituency. These in-charges have visited every voting booth as part of a campaign.
Goswami added that there was a big rally at Parbatjhora in Kokrajhar, where Cultural Minister Bimal Bora, MLA Hemanga Thakuria, and others attended. Bimal Bora will also go to a rally in Baokhungri. Another rally happened in Tangla with Pijush Hazarika, MP Dilip Saikia, and MLA Jitu Goswami. There will also be a rally at Majbat, where Minister Ranoj Pegu will participate.
This shows that BJP is putting a lot of effort into getting ready for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
