November 26: The Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY)program continues in Morigaon district along with the entire state. Additional Director General, North East Zone, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Jane Namchui was present at the meeting held at the Community Hall of South Dharamtul Gaon Panchayat in the district today. In her speech, she said the government has adopted a number of schemes for the welfare of all sections of the society. She stressed that no eligible person is deprived of these schemes due to lack of proper awareness. She explained in detail various aspects of the Developed India Sankalp Yatra. She highlighted the various flagship schemes of the government and said that if any person was not aware about the various government schemes, he can learn details from the concerned officials during this campaign and avail the benefits of the schemes. Morigaon District Development Commissioner Devayani Chowdhury explained the objectives of the meeting and explained various aspects of the programme. The meeting was attended by several beneficiaries of various schemes who expressed their feelings and several beneficiaries were awarded letters of approval and felicitated under several government schemes. Mrs. Namchui interacted with some of the beneficiaries. The program included a demonstration of development programs of various departments and a demonstration of nano urea using drone technology by the Department of Agriculture. Before the meeting, a drawing competition was held among the school children. Additional District Commissioner Dyutibha Bora, heads of various departments and beneficiaries of various schemes were present on the occasion.
Under the campaign, meetings will be held in 85 Gaon Panchayats of the district and awareness videos will be broadcast in an awareness vehicle. The journey was attended by departmental officers of all concerned departments of the administration. The schemes include Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Kisan Credit Card, Pradhan Mantri Poshan Abhiyan. Har Ghar Jal- Make the public aware about schemes like Jal Jeevan Mission, Swamitva (SVAMITVA), Jan Dhan Yojana, Jeevanjyoti Bima Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, PM Pranam, Nano Sar etc. so that no eligible person is deprived of the benefits of schemes provided by the government.
